About the Experience
Join us for a unique four hour cooking experience where culture, community and healthy living come together.
Hosted by The Ruh Collective, Rooji The Foodie and The Foodie Kitchen, this workshop has been designed to show that you do not have to sacrifice the foods you love to live a healthier lifestyle.
Through authentic recipes, practical nutrition education and hands on cooking, you’ll discover how simple changes can transform traditional family favourites into balanced meals that everyone can enjoy.

Watch Rooji The Foodie demonstrate her signature chicken kebabs before getting hands on and creating your own.

After losing over 20kg herself, Sanaa is passionate about helping women build healthier lifestyles without leaving their culture behind.
Through her coaching, social media platform and research into Muslim health and wellbeing, she empowers women to make sustainable changes that feel realistic, achievable and enjoyable.
Her philosophy is simple, healthy eating should never mean giving up the foods and traditions that connect us to our families and communities.

By purchasing a ticket for The Rooted in Culture Workshop, you agree to the following:
- All bookings are non refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.
- If you are unable to attend, tickets may be transferred to another person with prior notice.

- Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee an allergen free environment.
- Participants take part in cooking activities at their own risk and must follow all health and safety instructions provided during the session.
- Photography and videography may take place during the event for promotional purposes. Please let a member of the team know on arrival if you do not wish to appear in any photographs or video content.
- The organisers reserve the right to make minor changes to the programme where necessary.
- In the unlikely event that the workshop is cancelled, a full refund or transfer to an alternative date will be offered.
